About Boulderflash
Hi, I’m Mitch Singer, founder of boulderflash.
In 2020, my 10-year-old son and I stumbled into our local climbing centre in the southwest of England—and we never looked back. Like so many, we started from scratch and began the slow, rewarding climb (pun intended!) into the world of bouldering and climbing.
We quickly realised that while there’s loads of great climbing advice out there, it’s scattered and often overwhelming. At the same time, finding the right gear—reliable, relevant, and recommended by actual climbers—wasn’t always easy either.
That’s why I started boulderflash.
The Mission
Boulderflash began as a passion project, a place to gather trusted knowledge and share it with fellow climbers. That mission hasn’t changed—but it’s grown. Today, boulderflash is building toward being the best climbing shop in the UK, powered by purpose and grounded in community.
We’re more than a gear store. We’re here to help climbers—at every level—progress. That might mean learning how to train smarter, choosing your first pair of shoes, or finding your next go-to chalk or pad. Whether it’s insightful articles or a carefully curated product range, we bring you what’s most relevant to your journey on the wall.

We’re proud of our roots in the southwest climbing scene, and we’re committed to staying true to climbing’s values—respect for the rock, for each other, and for the wider community. We believe great climbing starts with supporting each other, sharing knowledge, and using gear that’s built to last.
